1. DEFINITION
A cookie is a small file (less than 4 KB) placed on the User’s device (computer, smartphone, tablet or any other device allowing Internet browsing) when visiting a website (hereinafter, the « Cookie(s) »).
Cookies contain a unique code that allows the party that issued them to recognize the device concerned each time the Site is visited.
The purpose of Cookies is to provide Users with more efficient and faster browsing by collecting information relating to their browsing on the Site and by providing them with personalized services. Their main objectives are:
(i) To establish statistics on Site traffic in order to monitor and improve the quality of our services;
(ii) To adapt the ergonomics and presentation of the Site to the display preferences of the User’s device;
(iii) To remember information entered in the Site’s forms.
Certain Cookies may be placed by our partners in order to personalize the advertising offers that may be presented to Users outside the Site, subject to the choices Users have expressed regarding Cookies.
Cookies do not collect any information contained on the User’s device or in their personal files.
2. PURPOSE OF THE COOKIE POLICY
The Site uses Cookies to store and respect Users’ preferences and settings, combat fraud, analyze the Site’s performance, and fulfill other legitimate purposes described below.
The purpose of the Policy is to explain to Users the processing of their personal data carried out through the Cookies used by the Site. The Policy therefore sets out the reasons why these Cookies are used on the Site, the methods of their use, as well as the choices offered to configure them. It also informs Users about the origin and use of browsing information processed when they visit the Site, and about their rights.
When visiting the Site, Cookies may be placed on the User’s device regardless of the equipment used (computer, tablet, smartphone). These Cookies are used in particular to facilitate User identification, analysis of Site traffic, and use of the Site’s various features.
By clicking “OK for me” on the Cookie banner that appears on first visiting the Site, the User expressly consents to the Site’s use of all Cookies. The User may manage their Cookie consent preferences by clicking “I choose”, or refuse them by clicking “No thanks”. However, refusing certain Cookies may affect the User’s browsing experience on the Site and limit access to certain Site features.
Users may decide to change their Cookie settings at any time on the Site.
3. RETENTION PERIOD
Some Cookies expire when the User closes their browser, such as “session Cookies”, while others remain on the device for longer, sometimes until manual deletion of “persistent Cookies”.
In general, Cookies have a limited period of validity. The most common validity period is thirty (30) days, with a maximum period of thirteen (13) months from the day the Cookie is placed on the device. Upon expiry of this period, the information will be permanently erased and the User will again be asked to express their consent or refusal via the Cookie banner.
The choices expressed by the User regarding the acceptance or refusal of Cookies are kept for a period of six (6) months, unless the User changes their choices before the expiry of this period.
4. PURPOSES
The purposes of the processing of personal data are determined according to the nature of the Cookies as detailed in Article 5.
Certain Cookies used by the Site, which are not subject to User consent, are essential to the proper functioning of the Site. These are the “strictly necessary Cookies” defined in Article 5.
5. CATEGORIES OF COOKIES USED
Different types of Cookies may be placed while browsing the Site. The Site uses the following categories of Cookies:
Strictly necessary technical Cookies
These Cookies are strictly necessary for the Site to function and cannot be disabled in our systems. They are generally established in response to actions taken by the User that amount to a request for services, such as setting privacy preferences or filling out forms. They may relate to managing the display of the information banner, recording the opening of the Policy, recording the non-display of the banner, and testing whether Cookies are enabled in the browser.
They also help ensure the security of the Site.
The User can configure their browser to block these Cookies or be informed of their existence, but certain parts of the Site may be affected as a result.
These Cookies do not store any personally identifiable information and do not require the User’s prior consent.
Functional or preference Cookies
Preference Cookies allow the Site to remember certain information regarding the choices made by the User in order to improve their browsing experience and personalize the display of the Site.
These are Cookies that enable browsing on the Site and use of its main features, in particular navigation between the various pages. They make browsing more pleasant and personalized and facilitate the operation of the Site.
They notably allow services to be personalized (language, currency, location, browsing data, etc.), remember the User’s choices from a previous visit, collect information from online forms, compile statistics, and analyze use of the Site.
Like technical Cookies, these Cookies are used to improve the User’s browsing experience and do not require their consent.
Statistical or performance Cookies
Statistical Cookies make it possible to measure Site traffic and analyze its use by Users in order to improve its operation. Through these Cookies, ADDEV can detect browsing issues and improve the ergonomics of the Site. The information collected is anonymous.
For these Cookies, the Site requires the User’s consent, with the exception of audience measurement Cookies that are exempt from consent.
Marketing and advertising Cookies
Marketing Cookies are used to track visitors across the Site. The purpose is to display advertisements that are relevant and tailored to the individual User’s interests and therefore valuable to third-party publishers and advertisers.
They make it possible to analyze the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, in particular by identifying subsequent actions carried out by clicking on advertising banners. In addition, based on geolocation data, the Site may adapt advertisements in order to inform the User of opportunities available nearby.
These advertising Cookies may also be used to send targeted advertising messages using technologies that combine data based on the sites Users have already visited.
For these Cookies, the User’s consent is required.
Unclassified Cookies
Unclassified Cookies are cookies whose purpose has not yet been identified or defined.
6. MANAGEMENT AND REFUSAL OF COOKIES
The placing of Cookies is subject to prior collection of consent, with the exception of Cookies strictly necessary for the operation of the Site and the provision of our services.
On the User’s first visit to our Site, an information banner informs the User of the use of Cookies and allows them to express their configuration choices regarding their placement.
The User is entitled to accept or object to the use of Cookies. It should be noted that giving effect to a refusal to install a Cookie itself relies on placing a Cookie. Consequently, if the User disables all Cookies on their device or changes device, ADDEV will no longer know which option was chosen.
The User can also configure their preferences regarding the use of Cookies.
Prior consent to the placing of Cookies
The storage of a Cookie on the User’s device is subject to their consent, which they may express and change at any time, free of charge, via the tools made available to them on the Site or through their browser software.
When the Cookie banner is displayed, the User is informed of the use of Cookies. By clicking the “OK for me” button on the banner, the User expressly consents to the placing of all Cookies.
Accepted Cookies may be temporarily stored in a dedicated space on the User’s device within the limits of their retention period.
The User can manage their consent preferences at any time by clicking on the tool made available for this purpose.
Refusal of Cookies
The User may refuse Cookies by clicking “No thanks”, with the exception of Cookies strictly necessary for the operation of the Site, which will remain active.
The User can also configure their Internet browser to disable all or some Cookies, either systematically or according to their issuer. Configuration instructions are available at the following addresses:

If the User disables Cookies, they may continue browsing but will not be able to fully enjoy the features, pages and areas of the Site. Accordingly, ADDEV disclaims all liability for consequences related to any malfunction of the Site resulting from the refusal or blocking of Cookies necessary for its proper functioning.
Managing Cookies
With the exception of Cookies strictly necessary for the operation of the Site, which will remain active, the User has the option to configure, activate or deactivate Cookies at any time according to their preferences by clicking “I choose”.
When several Users have access to the same device, or when a device has several browser software programs, it is not possible to guarantee that the services or content displayed, in particular those based on the use of Cookies or other trackers, correspond exclusively to the use made by the User concerned.
Shared use of a device by several people, as well as choices relating to browser configuration and the management of Cookies and other trackers, are matters of the User’s free choice and sole responsibility.
7. RIGHTS REGARDING THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
